ASIATIC DEVELOPMENT BANK TO RENDER ASSISTANCE TO UZBEKISTAN

The statement disseminated by the Asiatic Development Bank’s / ADB/ representative office in Tashkent says that according to the “Strategic program for 2004-2006s” approved by the Board of Directors, ADB plans to yearly allocate $100-150 mln to Uzbekistan within next three years.

These funds will be aimed at development of Uzbekistan’s economy, management development, improvement of women and children’ health, publication of books and raising level of education, stirring up reforms in entrepreneurship, modernization in gas and energy sphere, development of agriculture and restoration of railways.
