AUTUMN SESSION OF MILLI MAJLIS TO START ITS WORK ON SEPTEMBER 1
Opening the meeting, the Chairman stated the autumn session would begin its work on September 1 to discuss the plan of autumn session’s legislative work. Mr. Alasgarov stressed the session concurs with the eve of Presidential Elections. Since August 15, permanent commissions already began the processes of discussing bills.
Leader of Milli Majlis Office Safa Mirzoyev reminded that detailed information on drafts to be discussed in the coming session had been provided during the August 19 sitting. This year, he said, debates over documents, which had passed the first and second readings at the previous session and new bills are expected. The law making plan includes consideration of drafts laws “On State Flag of Azerbaijan Republic”, “On Banks”, “On State Registration and Roll of Juridical Persons”, “On Public and Television Broadcasting”, “On By-Law of Municipalities Union”, “On Prophylaxis and Combat against Diabetes” etc.
First deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis Arif Ragimzadeh, Deputy Milli Majlis Chairmen Ziyafat Askarov and Govkhar Bakhshaliyev, Chairmen of Permanent Commissions Sattar Safarov, Eldar Ibrahimov, Asya Manafova, Samad Seyidov, Deputy Chairmen of Permanent Commissions Shaitdin Aliyev and Salaheddin Khalilov stated their opinions on the documents to be submitted for parliamentary discussion in autumn session.
Summing up the meeting results, Speaker Murtuz Alaskarov said that conventions, agreements and other juridical documents would be presented along with the routine bills. He also touched upon the links between the commissions, and international ties of the parliament.
