A solemn event was held in Germany`s Mainz city to mark the establishment of Advisory Council of the Azerbaijani Diaspora Organizations acting in Germany, Azerbaijan State Committee for Azerbaijanis Living Abroad reports.

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Germany Parviz Shahbazov, addressing the event, briefed on the current level of relations between Germany and Azerbaijan. The ambassador said interest of Germany towards Azerbaijan is increasing and cooperation in all fields is expanding. An Azerbaijan-Germany Energy Forum, which will be held in Baku in coming days, is an obvious example of the cooperation, the ambassador added.

Nazim Ibrahimov, chairman of State Committee for Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, underlined that the Azerbaijan Diaspora organizations in Germany are of great importance for the state committee. He said the committee will support the Advisory Council.

In the end, the Diaspora organizations uniting in the Advisory Council issued a statement.
