AZERBAIJAN HOUSE OPENS IN LONDON

The “Azerbaijan House” Culture and Friendship Center, which actually started working in late 2006, has been formally opened in London. The event was attended by Azerbaijan`s ambassador to the UK F. Gurbanov, member of the UK House of Lords Lord Fraser, British Council country director for Azerbaijan Nicole de Lalouviere, FASE forum participants and Azerbaijanis living in the UK.

Chairman of the Center`s Board Ali Tekin Atalar provided information about the center.

F. Gurbanov pledged to render his assistance to the Center and wished every success to the organization.

The ceremony was rounded off by the concert featuring American mugham singer Jeffrey Werbock and rock band consisted of Azerbaijani students.
