    AZERBAIJAN TEMPORARILY BANS TURKISH POULTRY IMPORTS

    Azerbaijan`s State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture has imposed a temporary ban on import of poultry from Turkey after International Epizootic Bureau said it found H5N1 virus in birds in two towns in Zonguldak region.

    The Service said epizootic situation is stable in Azerbaijan, and the country is making every effort towards tightening controls at borders to try to prevent the spread of avian flu through illegal poultry imports.
