AZERBAIJAN TO CONTROL SHIPS IN NATIONAL SECTOR OF CASPIAN SEA

Baku, August 19 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan will control all ships sailing in the national sector of the Caspian Sea from late September.
Azerbaijan plans to install Remote Surveillance and Control System to observe ships in the national sector of the Caspian Sea by the end of September, said Gudrat Gurbanov, head of Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration (ARDDA).
He said ARDDA has already started bringing equipments from foreign countries for establishing the modern system in the national sector.
“The new system will allow to get information about movement, safety, position and cargo of all ships not only in the Caspian Sea, but also in the ocean waters”, Gurbanov added.
