AZERBAIJAN TO DELIVER 50 MILLION CUBIC METERS OF GAS TO GEORGIA IN OCTOBER

AzerTaj correspondent was told about it by president of Georgian Oil Company Georgi Chanturia. The main goal today is to test the newly reconstructed Azerbaijan –Georgia gas pipeline, whose carrying capacity reaches 300 million cubic meters. As an alternative to the Russia’s natural gas, the “blue fuel” delivered from Azerbaijan to Georgia will prevent the country from energy crisis until the Baku-Tbili-Ceyhan pipeline from “Shahdaniz” field is put into operation in 2006.
