AZERENERGY PRODUCED 1,4 BILLION KWT/HR OF ELECTRIC POWER IN AUGUST

Enterprises of the joint stock company Azerenergy produced over 1,486 kwt/hr of electric power in August of 2003. This number was announced by the press-service of Azerenergy with the reference to the head of Central dispatcher service of Azerenergy Rauf Ahmedov.

According to Ahmedov, production of electric power in August increased by 183,8 thousand kwt/hr as compared to the same period of 2002.

A major part of this volume falls to the share of thermal stations (1,363 billion kwt/hr), whereas hydraulic stations produced 123,7 million kwt/hr.

According to the dispatcher center, during last month, production of thermal power in the republic came to 44 732 gkal.

In conclusion, it was marked that scheduled electric power transmission to neighboring countries - Russia, Iran, Georgia and Turkey was going on last month.
