Ali Larijani hails Iran-Azerbaijan relations

Seoul, June 27, AZERTAC

Speaker of Iran`s Islamic Consultative Assembly, the parliament, Ali Larijani has hailed his country`s relations with Azerbaijan as he met with chairman of Azerbaijan`s parliament Ogtay Asadov on the sidelines of the 2nd Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Larijani stressed the role of parliaments in deepening the bilateral ties. He commended the joint inter-governmental commission for its efforts to expand economic relations.

Larijani said Iran considers Azerbaijan as its friend, brother and close neighbor.

Asadov also praised Azerbaijan-Iran relations. He said reciprocal visits by presidents have given a great impetus to the development of the bilateral relations and opened wide opportunities for cooperation.

Asadov noted the role of parliaments in developing Azerbaijan-Iran ties.
