Alon Ushpiz: Israel is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan

Baku, April 13, AZERTAC

Israel is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in overall fields, said Political Director Ministry of Foreign Affairs of State of Israel as he met the country`s deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov.

Khalaf Khalafov praised development of relations between the two countries, saying political dialogue plays an important role in boosting bonds.

He also expressed satisfaction with the development of military-technical cooperation between the two countries.

Alon Ushpiz highlighted increasing level of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Israel. He expressed assurance that Joint Commission will become an important platform for discussions and exchanging of views.

Mr. Khalafov provided an insight into the cause and consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, saying the problem is the main obstacle in the region to the integration and development.

Alon Ushpiz said Israel`s position to Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict remains unchanged, adding his country supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
