Asia-Europe Political Forum highlights Azerbaijan’s role in promoting intercultural dialogue

Head of the international relations department of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), MP Sevinj Fataliyeva has highlighted Azerbaijan’s role in promoting intercultural dialogue in the world as she addressed the 2nd meeting of the Asia-Europe Political Forum (AEPF) held in London. Fataliyeva delivered her speech during the seminar entitled “Asia-European Partnership for peace and progress, the role of political parties in regional cooperation and relationships”. She underlined that Azerbaijan is a country that plays an important role in promoting regional cooperation and intercultural dialogue.
The Azerbaijani MP condemned all the cases of terrorism, extremism, ethnic and religious intolerance, xenophobia and Islamophobia that spread as a disease of global concern, which every day takes lives of innocent people, including children.
Fataliyeva noted that Azerbaijan has long been at the crossroads of civilizations, cultures, religions playing the role of a bridge between Asia and Europe, where representatives of different ethnic and religious groups co-existed peacefully.
She drew the audience’s attention to the fact that Azerbaijan’s policy in establishing transport and logistics centers in Azerbaijan would bring political and economic profit to the region and will serve the future of the entire Eurasian region.
The MP also highlighted Azerbaijan’s active involvement in the Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran and Azerbaijan-Russia-Iran trilateral format of cooperation in combating terrorism, separatism and violent extremism, transnational organized crime, arms and drug smuggling, human trafficking, crimes against cultural and historical heritage, as well as all forms of cybercrime and illegal migration.
