Astrological complex erected 2,300 years ago in Peru
Baku, May 7 (AZERTAC). Archaeologist Charles Stanish and his team documented 71 lines of geoglyphs in a group of five mounds in an area of 40 square km. They have published their research in magazine PNAS of the National Academy of Sciences.
ientists at the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), U.S., have discovered in the valley of Chincha, Peru, a wide array of lines and mounds built to mark the summer solstice and other ceremonial activities 2,300 years ago, three centuries before they were created the famous Nazca geoglyphs. Archaeologists believe that these ancient symbols were raised by members of the Paracas culture, which existed between 800 and 100 BC.
The results suggest that the geoglyphs may have served to mark the date of important events and attracting people to specific locations for events and ceremonies. So they culturally integrated coastal and mountain populations.
Furthermore, the examination of two U-shaped mounds revealed that was oriented towards the position of the Sun at the June solstice, during the time of the Paracas.
Once again, we are faced with a mystery and a mysterious culture … Extraterrestrial life?
It’s not the first time that the Paracas culture has been associated with extraterrestrial worlds and extraterrestrial life. Remember Nazca lines. What do you think?
The Paracas culture was an Andean society between approximately 800 BCE and 100 BCE, with an extensive knowledge of irrigation and water management. It developed in the Paracas Peninsula.
Firstly, Paracas culture was investigated by the Peruvian archaeologist Julio Tello in the 1920s.
More recently, author David Hatcher Childress has made controversial claims about Paracas, including the suggestion that extended human skulls found there are extraterrestrial in nature.
