Azerbaijan Army holds departure ceremony of servicemen discharged from military service

Baku, April 3, AZERTAC

The execution of the relevant Decree of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev “On the conscription of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan for active military service and the discharge of servicemen from active military service to the reserve for the period from April 1 to April 30, 2021” is underway in the Azerbaijan Army.

The servicemen who have served their term of service until October 30, 2020, pursuant to Article 38.1.1 of the law on “Military Duty and Military Service” of the Republic of Azerbaijan are being discharged to the reserve.

On this occasion, the departure ceremony of discharged servicemen was held in military units stationed in Shusha city and other territories.

At first, the blessed memory of martyrs of the Patriotic War was honored with observing a minute of silence.

A glorious victory in the Patriotic War, the demonstration of heroism and courage by Azerbaijani soldiers and officers during the fulfillment of an honorable mission and the liberation of lands from the occupants were highlighted at the event.

On behalf of their comrades-in-arms, the young soldiers vowed to continue the traditions of their predecessors and to protect vigilantly the territorial integrity of the country.

At the end, a group of servicemen who distinguished themselves in the service was awarded honorary diplomas and valuable gifts.
