Azerbaijan, China discuss ways of developing bilateral relations

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov has met with a delegation led by Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, head of the National Government Offices Administration under the State Council Li Baorong, who is on a visit in Azerbaijan.
Deputy PM Ali Ahmadov noted the importance of the Chinese delegation’s visit to Azerbaijan.
The Deputy Prime Minister hailed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
Ali Ahmadov thanked the Chinese delegation for China’s recognizing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. He described the bonds of friendship between the two countries’ ruling parties as one of the key aspects of political relations between Azerbaijan and China. Deputy Prime Minister Ahmadov said that these relations contribute to development of overall cooperation. Ali Ahmadov underlined that all these relations are based on economic cooperation. “Efforts to develop economic relations between the two countries have significantly increased. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy has recently visited China. Economic relations create an important basis for relations in other areas,” he said.
Ali Ahmadov hailed the development of tourism in Azerbaijan.
Head of the Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ogtay Shahbazov proposed expanding student exchange between the two countries and extensive teaching of the Chinese language in Azerbaijan.
Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Baorong pointed out the cooperation between the two countries in political, economic and other fields. He expressed his confidence that this visit will contribute to the development of Azerbaijan-China bilateral relations.
