Azerbaijan, China sign MoU to boost non-oil export potential

Beijing, May 16, AZERTAC

Azerbaijan and China have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Technical Regulation, Metrology, Standardization and Conformity Assessment to boost non-oil export potential. The document was signed by chairman of Azerbaijan State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents Ramiz Hasanov and Vice Minister of the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine Wu Qinghai in Beijing.

Speaking prior to the signing ceremony, Hasanov provided an insight into President Ilham Aliyev’s measures to strengthen the country`s non-oil export potential and expand the export of local products. He noted the importance of cooperation with China in this regard.

The sides reached agreement on export of environmentally-friendly agricultural products made in Azerbaijan to China.
