Azerbaijan, Croatia eye opportunities for scientific cooperation

President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Academician Isa Habibbeyli has met here with Ambassador of Croatia to the country Branko Zebić.

Academician Habibbeyli briefed the ambassador about ANAS’s history and aspects of scientific research.

According to him, cooperation between the two countries in various fields has reached a new stage. The President of ANAS stressed the importance of expanding scientific relations. He found the need develop collaboration between Azerbaijani and Croatian academies of science, and expressed his confidence that science relationship would be beneficial for scientific institutions of both countries.

The ambassador, in turn, emphasized the economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries is developing steadily.

He also said that the expansion of relations between scientific institutions is one of the priority areas for Croatia.

The pair agreed about signing of a protocol of intent on cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Croatian Academies of Science.
