Azerbaijan, Georgia discuss prospects for interparliamentary cooperation

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev has met with Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.
The sides discussed the prospects of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, and stressed the importance of further deepening the strategic partnership.
Papuashvili noted the significance of interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries. The Parliament Speaker said that Georgia has always supported the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of establishing conditions for peace and cooperation in the region.
Ambassador Guliyev underlined that President Ilham Aliyev attaches special importance to the expansion of strategic partnership with neighboring Georgia. He said Azerbaijan also supports the territorial integrity of Georgia, adding that the recent statement of Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry is a clear evidence of this.
The sides noted that the Azerbaijan-Georgia bilateral and Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkiye trilateral cooperation formats can make a significant contribution to the development of the region.
