Azerbaijan-Indonesia Interparliamentary Working Group of Milli Majlis sends letter of gratitude to their Indonesian colleagues

Head of the Milli Majlis Working Group for the Azerbaijan-Indonesia Interparliamentary relations Bakhtiyar Aliyev has sent a letter of appreciation to Head of the Indonesia-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Muhammad Iqbal, Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis told AZERTAC.
The letter lauds the political statement adopted by the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre. The letter emphasizes that the statement in question is based on historical facts and references the known resolutions of the UN Security Council. Bakhtiyar Aliyev thanks their Indonesian colleagues on behalf of the whole Working Group for the fraternal support expressed by the Parliament of Indonesia.
The letter also mentions that Azerbaijan attaches a great importance to the furtherance of bilateral cooperation with the friendly Republic of Indonesia in every field available. In the letter, Head of the Milli Majlis Working Group expresses confidence that the interparliamentary collaboration created through a combined effort will continue deepening henceforth, which, in turn, will serve to strengthen the current relations between the two nations.
The House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia adopted a statement on behalf of its Indonesia-Azerbaijan Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group on 10 February 2021 on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre. The statement condemns the crimes against the people of Azerbaijan committed by the Armenians and inculpates Armenia’s disregard for the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
