Azerbaijan, Japan discuss media cooperation VIDEO
Baku, April 1 (AZERTAC). Producer of Japan`s “World Investors TV” internet TV, renowned economist Kazuyasu Ishida has today visited the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency.
AZERTAC Director General Aslan Aslanov spoke of the friendly relations between the two countries and peoples and underlined the role of media outlets including news agencies in development of the bilateral ties.
Ishida was briefed about the development path passed by AZERTAC, successes gained during years of the country`s independence, the role of the agency in providing the public policy with information. The Director General said Kyodo News and AZERTAC enjoy close ties and that both agencies successfully cooperate within international media alliances.
He underlined Kyodo News`s supporting the AZERTAC`s winning bid to host the 16th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies and the 5th World Congress of News Agencies simultaneously.
Ishida pointed out that Japan is keeping tabs on the rapid developing Azerbaijan`s economy. He pointed out that the Japanese companies are taking an active part in the huge projects such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, TANAP and TAP.
Ishida underlined the need to educate the international community about the truths on Azerbaijan, saying the cooperation between Japanese media including the “World Investors TV” internet TV and AZERTAC plays an important role in this respect.
