Azerbaijan, Jordan discuss bilateral relations

Amman, April 4 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan and Jordan have discussed bilateral relations as Ambassador in Amman Sabir Aghabayov met head of House Foreign Affairs Committee of Jordan, chairman of Friendship Group for Azerbaijan Hazem Qashou.

Qashou provided an insight into the activities of the newly established Friendship Group for Azerbaijan at Jordan`s Parliament. He said it would contribute to further developing cooperation between the two countries` legislative bodies.

Qashou hailed Azerbaijan-Jordan relations as “friendly and fraternal”. He said Jordan had always felt Azerbaijan`s support on the regional and international level.

Ambassador Aghabayov praised the establishment of the Friendship Group for Azerbaijan at Jordan`s Parliament.

He said Jordan had repeatedly proved its backing Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Qashou recalled the Jordanian Senate`s recognizing the Khojaly genocide, expressing hope that the House of Representatives will follow the example.
