Azerbaijan, Kenya discuss prospects for relations

Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met with a delegation led by Chief Administrative Secretary of Kenya`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Αbabu Namwamba on the sidelines of the 18th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov stressed the importance of expanding the legal framework between the two countries and exchanging high-level reciprocal visits.
Αbabu Namwamba congratulated Azerbaijan for its Chairmanship in the NAM. He underlined that during the Azerbaijani Chairmanship Kenya will support the country`s efforts.
Highlighting the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, FM Mammadyarov emphasized the importance of respecting the basic principles of international law by all member states, adding that the relevant UN Security Council resolutions adopted with regard to the settlement of the conflict have not been implemented.
The sides also discussed prospects for the bilateral relations, as well as the cooperation within international organizations.
