Baku, 24 April (AZERTAC). State Secretary of Latvia`s Ministry of Welfare Ieva Jaunzeme has today visited the State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan.

She met chairman of the State Social Protection Fund Salim Muslumov, and they focused on Azerbaijan-Latvia cooperation in insurance and pension sphere.

Ms. Ieva Jaunzeme was briefed on the insurance and pension system in Azerbaijan.

Muslumov said Azerbaijan had signed 10 agreements with various countries on cooperation in provision of pension. He also stressed the importance of developing relevant cooperation with Latvia.

Jaunzeme praised the progress made in insurance and pension system in Azerbaijan. She underscored the necessity of expanding cooperation between relevant authorities of Azerbaijan and Latvia.

They exchanged views on opportunities of bilateral cooperation in insurance and pension sphere.
