Azerbaijan, Pakistan discuss development of bilateral relations

Azerbaijan and Pakistan have explored ways of developing the bilateral ties as first deputy speaker of the parliament Ziyafat Asgarov met with a Pakistani delegation led by deputy speaker of the National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi. Asgarov said Azerbaijan considers Pakistan as a friendly and brotherly country. He noted that the visits of delegations at various level as well as bilateral meetings and negotiations give an impetus to the strengthening of relations between the two countries. He praised ties with Pakistan in many spheres.
Asgarov said that the two countries have signed more than 30 agreements, particularly in economic and military spheres.
Javed Abbasi said reciprocal visits contribute to the deepening of the bilateral relations. He noted the importance of the bilateral cooperation within international organizations.
He also highlighted China–Pakistan Economic Corridor project, expressing his hope that it will benefit all Muslim countries.
