Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and Austrian Red Cross to realize joint project
Baku, March 14 (AZERTAC). On March 14 2013 “Building Safe and Resilient Communities” project of AzRC will be officially presented to public and partners (stakeholders) in Baku city, Azerbaijan.
“Building Safe and Resilient Communities” project of AzRC will be implemented with technical support of AutRC which is partner organization within the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The financial support of project is from the Austrian Development Agency.
The official contract on 3 years project implementation signed between the AzRC and AutRC in December 2012.
The aim of project is resilience of targeted vulnarable rural and urban communities from Ismayilli and Zagatala districts of Azerbaijan Republic to natural and manmade disasters for enhance and sustainably strenghtening.
“Building Safe and Resilient Communities” project will conduct the predisaster, disaster response and after disaster recover knowledge and capacities in 6 rural and 2 urban communities. Besides that the developed community and family emergency plans and other documents will be shared with related governmental, non-governmental, international organizations. Other National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies having related activities also may benefit of project’s developed tools and documents.
Realization of the project will enable to create necessary potential for coordinative actions during the disasters.
