A protocol on the results of the first meeting of the heads of the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian armed forces was signed in the Headquarters of the Turkish Armed Forces.
Under the deal, the sides decided to create a Coordination Group in terms of regulating cooperation among the armed forces of the three countries. The group aims at holding joint exercises, courses and trainings, expand cooperation in the fields of education and medicine, exchange experience and coordination of other issues of mutual interest.
Prior to the meeting, a delegation led by Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov visited Anitkabir, the tomb of the founder of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
