Azerbaijan, Turkey hail bilateral relations

Azerbaijan and Turkey have praised bilateral ties as Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov met with a delegation led by member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, head of the Turkey-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group Samil Ayrim.

Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov said that the two countries and peoples have been bound together by historically strong ties. Stressing the role of Azerbaijani and Turkish parliaments in developing relations between the two countries, Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov noted that this visit of the Turkish delegation is of great importance in terms of expanding the bilateral ties even further.

Highlighting global projects involving Azerbaijan and Turkey, Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov pointed out that the launch of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and the implementation of TANAP and TAP projects deepened cooperation between the two brotherly countries even further.

Samil Ayrim hailed relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all areas. He said that important jointly implemented projects make great contributions not only to the development of Azerbaijan and Turkey, but of the entire region. The Turkish MP noted that Turkey always stands by Azerbaijan on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and expressed confidence that the dispute will be solved fairly soon.

The sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
