Azerbaijan, World Bank discuss prospects for cooperation
Baku, December 22 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan and World Bank have explored ways of developing cooperation as country` Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abasov on Friday met World Bank Country Manager for Azerbaijan Larisa Leshchenko.
They discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank in agrarian sphere, as well as implementation of future projects.
Mr. Abasov briefed Larisa Leshchenko on Azerbaijan`s achievements in the agrarian sphere, which founded by Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continuing by President Ilham Aliyev.
On importance of the World Bank`s projects in Azerbiajan, the minister also said that this gave impetus for the development of the agrarian sector in the country.
He noted that Azerbaijan and World Bank`s cooperation in the agrarian sphere started in 1996.
Larisa Leshchenko said he would spare no efforts to contribute to developing the Azerbaijan-World Bank cooperation during his tenure.
