Azerbaijan and Greece have great potential for attraction of investments, Dimitris Kurkulas
Baku, March 8 (AZERTAC). Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kurkulas gave a press conference on Thursday on the results of his Azerbaijan trip.
He said that this visit proved to be successful.
The diplomat pointed out that the aim of his visit was to explore new avenues to improve cooperation. Kurkulas noted during his meetings here he highlighted the great potential for cooperation between the two nations. According to him, after the crisis is over in Greece, there will be more opportunities to take bilateral ties forward. According to him, the meetings held here will contribute to cementing the relationship.
He welcomed Azerbaijani companies` participation in privatization in Greece.
He underlined the next meeting of the Azerbaijan-Greece intergovernmental commission can be held in the second half of 2013.
The Deputy Minister noted Greece is interested in expanding cooperation in the non-oil sector, in particular, pharmaceuticals, construction, tourism, agriculture.
Kurkulas said both countries decided to combine their efforts to prevent dropping the wrestling from Olympic Games.
He said Foreign Minister of Greece is expected to visit Azerbaijan in April this year.
