Azerbaijan initiated two trilateral formats in the region, President

Baku, April 15 (AZERTAC). “Azerbaijan initiated two trilateral formats in the region. These are Azerbaijan-Iran-Turkey and Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey formats,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has told a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“In Azerbaijan-Iran-Turkey format, foreign ministers meet on a regular basis. And we have Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey format. The economic and political block has already been established as a format here.”

The President added: “It was our initiative. I think it was a well-considered and wise initiative. Azerbaijan is actively involved in both of these formats.”
