Azerbaijan represented at 1st International Asian Congress in Poland
Torun, May 21 (AZERTAC). A counselor of the embassy of Azerbaijan to Poland, Ulvi Bakhshaliyev, has represented the country at the 1st International Asian Congress, which took place in Torun, Poland.
The event organizers were the Asia Pacific Society, as well as Kuiavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Marshall`s Office, Toruń City Council, the Fund for International Cooperation Support n.a. Professor Czesław Mojsiewicz and Eastern Studies Center.
The event was attended by representatives of province and city councils, employees of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomats, representatives of research centers, and higher educational institutions.
The event speakers stressed the importance of the event, saying “it is the biggest soft sciences and business event in Europe fully dedicated to Asia”.
Aside from the academic part, the congress featured 2 panels on the theme “Culture” and “Society”.
Professor at the Baku Slavic University, Sevda Akhundova, has reported on the theme “Azerbaijani Philosophy in the Middle Ages”.
