Azerbaijan to start money transfer with Belarus under STEFI
Baku, April 22 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani and Belarus postal operators will launch money transfer on STEFI (Secured Transfer of Electronic Financial Information) operating system.
According to the Azerbaijan Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, the system will be launched at a business forum on communication and information technologies to be held in Minsk on April 23-26 as part of the TIBO-2013 exhibition.
The use of STEFI allows postal operators to offer money transfers within 30 minutes. The implementation of the tariff money transfers using the STEFI system corresponds with tariffs currently operating in money transfers in other systems.
Azerbaijan already launched STEFI with Ukraine, and is planning to introduce the system together with Moldova, Russia and Kazakhstan.
The business forum in Minsk will bring together representatives of some 30 ICT companies from Azerbaijan who will discuss with their Belarus counterparts prospects for developing the bilateral cooperation in ICT sector and space industry.
