Azerbaijani Deputy Minister meets European Union`s Special Representative for Central Asia
Baku, February 11 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Deputy Industry and Energy Minister Gulmammad Javadov has met a delegation led by EU Special Representative for Central Asia Mrs. Patricia Flor.
According to the Industry and Energy Ministry, the meeting focused on cooperation prospects in the field of energy security.
The Azerbaijani deputy minister gave detailed information about the achievements gained in Azerbaijan after restoration of independence and implementation of reforms. He said that as a result of dynamic development Azerbaijan had become the leader country of the region.
Javadov also briefed about Azerbaijan`s participation in the international energy projects, as well as, the new projects that will transport Azerbaijan`s natural oil and gas to Europe.
Patricia Flor expressed satisfaction with her visit to Azerbaijan and she hailed the current situation of multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU.
The EU Special Representative for Central Asia underlined that by implementation of the Trans-Anatolian natural gas pipeline (TANAP), the Southern Energy Corridor and the Trans-Caspian projects, Azerbaijan`s role will strengthen not only as an energy producer, but also as a transit country.
