Azerbaijani FM attends Munich Security Conference

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has participated in a round table on energy security which was held as part of the Munich Security Conference.
The round table featured discussions on topical issues in the field of energy security.
In his remarks, FM Mammadyarov hailed Azerbaijan's role in ensuring Europe's energy security, highlighting the strategic importance of the Southern Gas Corridor, TANAP and TAP projects in this regard. He noted that the TANAP project will be commissioned this year, adding works on TAP project is also progressing on schedule.
The Minister also drew the audience's attention to the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) Advisory Council which was held on 15 February in Baku, and the decisions made at the meeting.
