Azerbaijani FM informs U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs of Armenia’s violating humanitarian ceasefire

Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has had a telephone conversation with U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip T. Reeker.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his interlocutor on the latest escalation in the region, including the violation of the humanitarian ceasefire by the armed forces of Armenia. Armenia’s deliberate targeting of peaceful population and civilian infrastructures, towns and districts situated far from the frontline, rocket shelling of the second biggest city of Azerbaijan, Ganja and its’ serious civilian casualties were brought to the attention of the Acting Assistant Secretary of State.

U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary Philip Reeker stressed the importance of respecting humanitarian ceasefire and restoring political dialogue.
