Azerbaijani Premier attends swearing-in ceremony of Georgia`s President-elect

Tbilisi, November 18 (AZERTAC). An Azerbaijani delegation led by Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has attended a swearing-in ceremony of Georgia`s President-elect Giorgi Margvelashvili.

After swearing on the Constitution, the new President spoke of prospects for domestic and foreign policy of Georgia. Margvelashvili said he would try to implement political and economic reforms, increase Georgia`s image as a reliable partner across the world.

He also added necessary steps would be taken to deepen Georgia`s political and economic relations with neighbors Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Following the ceremony, Rasizade met President Margvelashvili and Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili.

The talks focused on how to expand Azerbaijan-Georgian ties, ensure stability in the region, cooperation in political, economic, and humanitarian areas.

Azerbaijan`s ambassador in Georgia was present at the meetings.
