Azerbaijani President receives Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment
Baku, March 7 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received the Netherlands` Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment Melanie Henriette Schultz van Haegen-Maas Geesteranus.
Melanie Henriette Schultz van Haegen-Maas Geesteranus conveyed the Dutch Prime Minister`s greetings to the Azerbaijani President.
She stressed the role of the Dutch embassy in Baku and the Azerbaijani embassy in Hague in expanding the relations between the two countries.
Melanie Henriette Schultz van Haegen-Maas Geesteranus said she is leading a large delegation of businessmen to Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of the Dutch delegation`s visit to Azerbaijan, saying they will have a good opportunity to familiarize themselves with the country.
The Azerbaijani leader recalled his meetings with the Dutch Premier, saying they had fruitful discussions on development of the bilateral cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev said the reciprocal opening of the embassies contributed to developing the Azerbaijani-Dutch relations even more.
The Azerbaijani leader and the Dutch Minister explored prospects for the bilateral cooperation in a variety of fields, including water industry, infrastructure, environment and transport.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked for the Dutch Prime Minister`s greetings, and asked Melanie Henriette Schultz van Haegen-Maas Geesteranus to reciprocate his greetings to the country`s Premier.
