Azerbaijani, Turkish defense ministers meet in Batumi

Batumi, May 23, AZERTAC

Azerbaijani and Turkish defence ministers Zakir Hasanov and Fikri Işık have met in Batumi, Georgia.

The two noted successful development of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all spheres. They said the bilateral relations reached the level of strategic partnership. Hasanov emphasized that the foundation of the brotherly ties between two countries was laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev, adding that President Ilham Aliyev remains committed to this policy.

The ministers discussed prospects for cooperation in a variety of areas, including military sphere, the exchange of experience in military training, organization of joint military camps, as well as regional and global developments, and the joint fight against separatism and terrorism.
