An Azerbaijani delegation led by deputy minister of internal affairs Oruj Zalov has participated in the 2nd UN Chiefs of Police Summit.
The event considered how to support the integral work of UN Police in fostering peaceful and inclusive societies by protecting communities and strengthening police services around the world. The Summit provided an opportunity to formulate a response to transnational threats and risks through a strengthened UN Police.
Currently 11,000 police officers, including over 1,000 women, serve within the UN special political and peacekeeping missions.
