Azerbaijani deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov has met head of the election observation mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), first deputy CIS Executive Secretary, Vladimir Gorkun and HQ Head Yevgeny Sloboda.

Mr. Khalafov said all necessary measures have been taken in Azerbaijan to ensure the conduct of the upcoming parliamentary elections in a democratic and transparent manner. The Deputy FM also said the government of Azerbaijan invited international partners to send observers for the parliamentary voting due to take place on November 1.

Mr. Gorkun lauded the conditions created for the observers in Azerbaijan.
