Azerbaijani gymnasts to compete at 36th FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championship determined

Azerbaijani gymnasts, including Aliya Pashayeva, Siyana Vasileva, Ayshen Bayramova, Diana Doman and Zeynab Hummatova will compete at the 36th FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championship, Individual and Group Competitions, in Sofia, Bulgaria, September 10-16.

The championship will bring together more than 350 gymnasts from 60 nations. The tournament will see 215 gymnasts to compete in 176 individual championships and 36 teams in team competitions.

These competitions are the third world championship held by Bulgaria. Bulgaria previously played host to the competition in 1969 and 1987.

The World Championship will also serve as the first 2020 Olympic qualification, as the three medalists from the Group All-around competition will qualify to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
