Baku, July 11 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani minister of agriculture Ismat Abbasov met Mohamed Ruiqi, special adviser of the Director General of UN Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO).
The aim of the visit is to meet with Azerbaijani officials to discuss opening of FAO coordinating office in Baku.
Abbasov touched on projects being implemented by FAO in Azerbaijan to develop economy, agriculture and ensure food security. The minister described head of the state`s support in opening of the FAO coordinating office in Baku as important cooperation of international structures, including FAO with agrarian sectors of the country.
Ruiqi hailed President Ilham Aliyev`s support in opening of the office as contribution to the global food security.
