Azerbaijani scientist Yagub Mahmudov receives Turkic world’s ‘Man of the Year’ international award

Full member of ANAS (Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences), Honored Scientist, State Prize laureate Yagub Mahmudov has been declared “Man of the Year” in the Turkic world and awarded the “Istiglal” Order by the decision of the Award Committee of the International Academy of Sciences of Turkic World Studies dated February 3, 2023.

According to the "Azerbaijan Historians" Public Union, Yagub Mahmudov was awarded the "Istiqlal" Order in recognition of his outstanding services in the science and education in the Turkic world as well as the "Man of the Year in the Turkic World" international award for his achievements in 2022.

Historian-scientist Yagub Mahmudov was elected a full member of International Academy of Sciences of Turkic World Studies, and awarded the International Gold Star medal of the academy, the International Atatürk Award and the "Scientist of the Year in the Turkic World" international award for 2019.
