Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry issues statement as Azerbaijani and Armenian FMs meet in Moscow

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has issued a statement on a meeting of Azerbaijan’s FM Elmar Mammadyarov and Armenian FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan with the participation of Russian FM Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
The ministry said: “On April 15, at the initiative of the Russian side, a working meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov and Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan was held with the participation of the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov. The meeting was also attended by the Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
A broad exchange of views on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict took place at the meeting. In this regard, the prospects for the continuation of the negotiation process on the settlement of the conflict, taking into account the outcome of the Azerbaijani-Armenian summit, held in Vienna on March 29 of this year, were further considered.”
“An exchange of views took place on further reducing tensions in the conflict zone, as well as on possible cooperation in the humanitarian field. The ministers expressed their willingness to take practical steps towards establishing people-to-people contacts, including reciprocal visits by media representatives.
The participants agreed to continue contacts in the near future.
Following the meeting, a joint statement was adopted by the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs,” the ministry added.
