Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Moldovan ambassador to the country Alexandr Esaulenco.

During the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Moldova in deepening cooperation.

The two discussed increasing the trade turnover between the two countries, as well as opportunities for cooperation in energy, transport and logistics, agriculture, ICT, renewable energy and other fields.

They noted that the implementation of the “Agreement on a strategic partnership in the field of green energy development and transmission between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary” would also play an important role in the energy security of the region where Moldova is located.
