    Azerbaijan`s coronavirus death toll nears 8,500

    Baku, January 14, AZERTAC

    Azerbaijan registered 7 new coronavirus deaths Friday, taking the country’s total number of fatalities to 8,497, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told AZERTAC.

    The Task Force said health officials also detected 653 more coronavirus cases after carrying out 8,275 new tests.

    The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases identified in the country is now 624,208.

    The total recoveries stood at 607,885, with 488 patients newly recovering from the disease.
