Azerbaijan’s investment opportunities presented in Shenzhen, China

A presentation on Azerbaijan’s investment opportunities has been held in the Chinese city of Shenzhen.

Participants in the event included heads and representatives of the well-known companies of Shenzhen, the city’s Guangdong province, as well as the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Chairman of the Shenzhen Regional Economic Cooperation and Promotion Association Chen Zhiyong noted that Azerbaijan’s rapid economic development in recent years has attracted the attention of foreign investors, influential companies, including the Chinese ones. Chen Zhiyong highlighted the association`s relations with Azerbaijan. He pointed to Shenzhen Regional Economic Cooperation and Promotion Association’s plans to build the Azerbaijan-China Free Trade Industrial Park in Garadagh district, Baku, saying a document on cooperation was signed between the Garadagh District Executive Authority and the association in this regard.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to China Akram Zeynalli highlighted the history and current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and China. Hailing the economic development of Azerbaijan, the ambassador pointed out the country’s recent achievements, its successful oil strategy, and comprehensive progress.

Ambassador Zeynalli lauded Chinese companies’ successful cooperation with Azerbaijan.

The event featured the screening of a promotional video on Azerbaijan’s modern development and economic potential. The protocols of intent on the building of the Azerbaijan-China Free Trade Industrial Park in Garadagh district, Baku, were signed between the Shenzhen Regional Economic Cooperation and Promotion Association and China Railway 19th Bureau Group Co as well as the companies planning to establish production facilities in the park.
