BAKU HEAT STATION SUSPENDED FOR OVERHAUL

The second gas-turbine unit (GTU-2) at Baku Heat Station-1 has been suspended for overhaul to prepare for the wintertime. According to GTU performances standards and firm-constructor’s program, the inspections are scheduled for output of certain kwhs. Thus, the inspection of specialists of Swiss company “Alstom”, which manufactured two GTUs at the Baku Heat Station from the credit of German Bank “Beirische Landensbank Girocentrale”.

According to “Azerenergy” press-service, a special delegation of the Swiss Company arrived in Baku for inspections. The overhaul will be held based on the agreement concluded by “Azerenergy” and “Alstom” in April 2003 at own expenses of the firm-constructor.

After replacement of the isolate equipment, the unit is supposed to be commissioned in late October.
