BHOS students winning international competitions awarded

Rector of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Elmar Gasimov has issued an order to award BHOS students who became winners of the regional round of the “Petrobowl” international competition organized by the International Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the “Enactus Azerbaijan Spring School” project organized by Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union and the “Education” Public Support Association of Youth of Azerbaijan with the financial support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Thus, the captain of the team “Enactus BHOS”, 4th year student Gunel Huseynli, team members - 3rd year students Mirkazim Aghayev, Taliya Mammadhasanzade, Shukran Alizade, 4th year student Fidan Aslanova, student of the BHOS MBA program Pakiza Talibli, as well as members of the team “SPE BHOS”, which took first place among 22 teams from different countries in the regional “Petrobowl” competition - Toghrul Tahirov, Kanan Mammadov, Rahima Abbasova, Elnur Asgarov and Khalid Orujov received a cash prize of 200 manats each at the expense of the BHOS Trade Union.

The team of Baku Higher Oil School won first place in the "Question-Answer" competition held within the framework of the "Enactus Azerbaijan Spring School" project with the participation of 18 universities of the republic, having correctly answered all the questions. BHOS students also took first place in the regional round of the Petrobowl international competition organized by the International Society of Petroleum Engineers.

The online meeting dedicated to both victories was attended by BHOS teachers and students, members of the winning teams and their parents.

Rector Elmar Gasimov cordially congratulated the BHOS teams on their successes. He also thanked students for honorably representing the Higher School and the country at all the events that have been held both at the regional and international levels. The rector stressed that he is proud that BHOS students have deep knowledge, as well as special talents and abilities.

Then, the members of the winning teams told the meeting participants about how they prepared for the competitions and competed in them, and also shared their impressions.
