Baku Congress and OANA General Assembly in spotlight of world media

World prestigious media outlets have widely covered the 5th News Agencies World Congress and the 16th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia Pacific News Agencies (OANA) which were co-organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and AZERTAC in Baku.

Chinese Xinhua, Italian ANSA and AGI, Korean Yonhap, Turkish Anadolu, Russian TASS, Romanian AGERPRES, Croatian HINA, Bahraini BNA, Saudi Arabian SPA, UAE's WAM, Qatari QNA, Kuwaiti KUNA, Belarussian Belta, Kyrgyzstan's Kabar, Iranian IRNA agencies, as well as Turkey's TRT TV channel highlighted the topical issues which were discussed at the 5th Baku Congress and 16th OANA General Assembly, as well as President Ilham Aliyev's speech at the opening ceremony and his meeting with a group of event participants.

The media outlets hailed the importance of the events in terms of exchange of views and experience between heads of more than 130 news agencies from five continents and in terms of increasing the world community`s awareness of Azerbaijani realities.

AZERTAC's signing agreements on cooperation with Spanish EFE, Paraguayan IP and Bahraini News Agency BNA was also hailed.

The media also emphasized AZERTAC's assuming presidency of both News Agencies World Congress and OANA.
