Baku Higher Oil School, Petronas start cooperation

Rector of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Elmar Gasimov met Deputy Director and Head of Business Development, Planning and Risk Management of Petronas Azerbaijan Rashad Mammadov and Officer of Corporate Affairs department of the Company Aysel Allahverdiyeva.

The rector highlighted the activities of the Higher School, touching upon BHOS’s cooperation with leading international oil companies.

Rashad Mammadov said Petronas Azerbaijan is interested in developing relationship with BHOS, expressing confidence that the cooperation between the company and the Higher School will reach the highest level. Mammadov pointed out that his company intends to involve BHOS students into Petronas Education Sponsorship Program, which has a slogan "Learners of today are leaders of tomorrow".

Mammadov said this program would create an opportunity for students of BHOS to study at Petronas Technical University in Malaysia. Students, which will be able to obtain bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Oil and Gas Engineering and Oil and Gas Geoscience, will be selected by Petronas Azerbaijan based on predetermined criteria.

The sides also discussed possible directions of further cooperation.
